Positive behavior support (PBS) is a framework for promoting positive behavior and reducing problem behavior for all students. Students with challenging behaviors often benefit from teachers, counselors, and family members working together to develop strong function-based intervention plans to implement and evaluate across settings. This workshop will present the fundamental components of PBA and consultative strategies, including how to support families in structuring their home environment to promote
positive behaviors and ways for parents to prevent and respond to challenging behaviors.  We will discuss the importance of partnering with family members to improve their student's behavior at home and at school.
